Who We Are
Bright Ideas, Better Solutions
Watt Works is a Tauranga electrical team built around doing the job properly the first time. We're led by Daniel Barrett, a registered electrician with a background in electrical engineering — which means the design thinking behind a job gets the same attention as the install itself.
We've deliberately kept the team tight. You deal with the people doing the work, not a call centre, and the person who quotes your job is the person who turns up to it. Nothing gets handed off to a subcontractor we haven't worked alongside.
That covers residential rewires and switchboard upgrades through to commercial fit-outs, three-phase and control panel work, solar, batteries and EV charging. Everything is certified to New Zealand standards, fully documented, and we're licensed and insured across the lot.
We understand that strong relationships form the backbone of any successful business. That's why we focus on building trust through transparency and open communication. From the initial consultation to the final walkthrough, we keep clients informed and involved every step of the way. It's not just about getting the job done—it's about forming long-lasting partnerships with the people and communities we serve. We also value collaborations with industry peers, suppliers, and local organizations who share our commitment to quality and safety.
With eight years of hands-on experience in the electrical industry, Watt Works has tackled projects of all scales. Our background includes everything from residential wiring and commercial fit-outs to more complex industrial installations and renewable energy systems. Thanks to ongoing professional development, our team stays current with evolving regulations and technologies. This depth of experience translates into efficient problem-solving and innovative solutions that exceed expectations.
We hold ourselves accountable for every detail, ensuring each project meets strict quality and safety standards. We're fully licensed, insured, and transparent about our processes—so you can trust that your project is in capable hands. If an issue does arise, we address it promptly and thoroughly. This commitment to accountability underpins everything we do and is a key factor in our reputation for reliability and professionalism.
At Watt Works, our mission is to power your projects with excellence and integrity. We believe in creating electrical systems and solutions that stand the test of time—meeting your current needs while preparing for future growth and sustainability. By combining proven techniques with the latest advancements in technology, our goal is to enhance the everyday lives of our customers, whether they're homeowners, business leaders, or industrial managers.
Above all, we hold ourselves accountable for every detail, ensuring each project meets strict quality and safety standards. We're fully licensed, insured, and transparent about our processes—so you can trust that your project is in capable hands.
